Setting up Multi-Factor Authentication from a Computer
By setting up MFA, you add an extra layer of security to your Microsoft 365 account sign-in.Visit aka.ms/mfasetup to get started.
Sign in to your Microsoft 365 with your @brant.ca account with your password like you normally do.
Choose Next.
The default authentication method is to use the free Microsoft Authenticator app. If you have it installed on your mobile device, select Next and follow the prompts to add this account. If you don't have it installed there is a link provided to download it.

Scan the QR Code using the Microsoft Authenticator app.
Note: Please be sure to click 'NEXT' on your computer screen after scanning the QR code to complete enrollment.
Choose Next.
Enter the number that is presented on your computer screen within the Microsoft Authenticator app and tap yes to approve.
After the notification has been approved, you will see the following screen on your computer.
You can complete the Authenticator app setup by clicking next on your computer screen.
Microsoft Authenticator app is now activated and will be your primary method of MFA (Multifactor Authentication)
